WARNING RADIO RECOMMENDS

WOW! After a few weeks of irregular posts I’m def making up for it this week. I know a lot of you are not from Baltimore but since that is where I live I know there are a bunch of you out there who check out the blog that are so chalk this one up as another one for the Bmore/DC area peeps.

A few noteworthy events coming up I’d like to mention. If you are a fan of what is played on Warning Radio chances are you will certainly dig one or possibly all of these upcoming happenings.

First is this Sunday and a very special Halloween show at Bourbon Street in Baltimore. It’s the “Select City” Tour w/ RECOIL featuring Alan Wilder of Depeche Mode. Should be a great show but with the added fact thats it’s on Halloween that lends an extra bit of excitement. The show also includes performances from Rhys Fulber (of Front Line Assembly) and local bmore dark new wave rockers The Perfects. Check the BOURBON STREET website for all the info!

Next up I.M.P and Rams Head Live welcome THE CULT to bmore on Tuesday November 2nd. They are touring (nationwaide for the non bmore peeps) behind their latest release Capsule 1. But I’m sure they are bound to play all the classics that made them the post-punk goth rock heroes we know and love! Check out the RAM’S HEAD website for tix and all the info you need!

And finally, the Battle for New Wave Supremacy continues Friday, November 12th at THE OTTOBAR with The Cure/Depeche Mode/New Order/Duran Duran dance party. This is the first time this party has happened in a while but I’ve heard this is a great time with non stop dancing all night. Doors are at 9pm but get down early for no cover and $2 drinks before 10pm. Also check out the killer poster for the event (shown at top) by the amazing bmore illustrator/designer Donald Ely. You can see a larger version of the poster HERE
